This release brings the Fotokite API from preview to stable Version 1.0. Additionally, we have included the following new features and improvements:

**HTTPS Support**\
The Fotokite API now supports HTTPS, enabling secure communication. HTTPS access is also allowed from upstream networks, which simplifies system integration.

**NAT Mode Support**\
The Fotokite API can now be used when the Ground Station is configured in NAT mode.

**Camera 1st Generation Support**\
The Fotokite API now supports the legacy Camera 1st Generation.

**Handoff Control and Remote ID (US)**\
When using request control, all information required for compliance with RemoteID (such as operator location) can be transmitted. This enables the implementation of user interfaces for RemoteID compliant operation without requiring a Fotokite control tablet.

For more information, please refer to the [User Manual](https://manual.fotokite.com/system-profile/api) or visit our [Developer Portal](https://developer.fotokite.com/).

The Fotokite API is a feature that must be enabled by Fotokite. If you are interested, please get in contact with us using our [Contact Form](https://fotokite.com/contact/contact-form/).&#x20;

## System

**New Video Server**

We updated the video server, which acts as the RTSP server. The new video server now supports encrypted streams via RTSPS, reduces latency, and improves overall compatibility. Stream status, such as whether a camera is on or off, will now be reported more reliably.

With this update, we are transitioning to new ports and URLs for our video streams. We now use the default ports for RTSP (554) and RTSPS (322).

Therefore, the URLs to reference in your video-consuming applications, such as Milestone or Genetec, are now:

<table><thead><tr><th width="115.921875">Video</th><th>Stream</th><th>Encrypted stream</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Zoom</td><td>rtsp://&#x3C;ip_of_fotokite>/zoom</td><td>rtsps://&#x3C;ip_of_fotokite>:322/zoom</td></tr><tr><td>Thermal</td><td>rtsp://&#x3C;ip_of_fotokite>/thermal</td><td>rtsps://&#x3C;ip_of_fotokite>:322/thermal</td></tr><tr><td>Wide</td><td>rtsp://&#x3C;ip_of_fotokite>/wide</td><td>rtsps://&#x3C;ip_of_fotokite>:322/wide</td></tr></tbody></table>

The old URLs:

<table><thead><tr><th width="115.921875">Video</th><th>Stream</th><th>Encrypted stream</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Zoom</td><td>rtsp://&#x3C;ip_of_fotokite>:5010/video</td><td>not available</td></tr><tr><td>Thermal</td><td>rtsp://&#x3C;ip_of_fotokite>:5012/video</td><td>not available</td></tr><tr><td>Wide</td><td>rtsp://&#x3C;ip_of_fotokite>:5014/video</td><td>not available</td></tr></tbody></table>

We generally recommend using the new URLs, as these will be stable in the long term. While old URLs using ports 5010, 5012, and 5014 will still be redirected to the new URLs, they may no longer be supported in future software versions.
